GRANT UPDATE
As you know Focus on the Family has had a long to do list for us in order to the get the updated ultrasound machines from them. We have met most of those requirements but are still working on having ultrasound offered 20 hours each week, in both Mtn. View and South San Jose. This requires more volunteer client advocates (counselors) and volunteer nurses to fill those extra hours. If each nurse volunteers for one four hour shift per week that means we need 5 volunteer nurses a week at each center. We are preparing to have our fourth nurse trained in May and we'd like a 5th nurse in place as soon as possible. If everything comes together we should have the new ultrasound machines by June 1st. These particular machines will make it possible to provide an ultrasound for every positive pregnancy test. They will detect a heart beat at 4.5 weeks.

Community Service for Teens
Is your youth group looking for a local community service project? Does your son or daughter need community service hours during the school year? Consider the possibilities of your teen serving the CPC ministry. The opportunities are actually endless. A few ideas to consider are a car wash, a bake sale, or a yard sale with the proceeds donated to CPC. A diaper drive, a baby bottle boomerang (call Toni for details), or even a baby shower! If it's community service hours that are needed, all of the hours spent organizing and executing the event can be recorded as community service hours. Call Toni for more information. 408 229-9836
